Program Overview

This course covers advanced principles involved in making groove welding such as 2G, 5G, and 6G positions welds on carbon steel pipe using standard industrial procedures, equipment, and welding electrodes using Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process. Includes basic technical and related information concerning other welding processes, in comparison to the Gas tungsten arc welding process in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) 1104 and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section IX.
