Program Overview

This course covers basic and advanced principles involved in making butt joint, tee joint, lap joint, corner joint welding such as 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G positions weld on mild steel plate and 2G, 5G and 6G positions welds on carbon steel pipe using standard industrial procedures, equipment, and welding electrodes using Oxy Acetylene welding (OAW) process. Includes basic technical and related information concerning other welding processes, in comparison to the Oxy Acetylene welding process in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) 1104 and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section IX.
